Upon retiring, he settled in Lappe, where he cherished caring for his animals and feeding birds, overcoming his childhood fear of birds. He enjoyed watching hockey with his family and was a devoted fan, supporting Toronto as a "BeLeafer."

He will forever be cherished for his unconditional love for his children and animals. “Best Dad Ever”

The family extends special gratitude to Dr. Dave Probizanski, the medical staff at TBRHSC, and the compassionate care provided by the palliative nurses and PSWs that made it possible for his children to hold their daddy’s hands in his final hours in the comfort of his own home.

A celebration of Ron's life will take place at his home in Lappe on Saturday, May 11th, from 1 pm to 4 pm for family and friends. Donations in memory of Ron can be made at a charity of your choice. The interment will be held at a later date.
