SIOUX LOOKOUT — Police have arrested and charged one individual with firearm and drug offences in Sioux Lookout.
OPP arrested the driver following a traffic stop on Drayton Road shortly after 1 p.m. on Feb. 6.
During a search incident to the arrest, officers said they allegedly located what is suspected to be cocaine and crack cocaine on the individual.
Police added they also allegedly found a firearm and ammunition inside of the vehicle.
As a result of the investigation, a 32-year-old Hudson resident was criminally charged with the unauthorized possession of a firearm, occupying a motor vehicle knowing there was a firearm, knowledge of the unauthorized possession of a firearm and the possession of cocaine.
The individual was released on a Form 10 Undertaking and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Sioux Lookout in March.
It is Newswatch policy not to name people facing criminal accusations when we are unlikely to follow the case to its conclusion in the courts.
