FORT FRANCES — A 43-year-old from Minnesota has been charged after allegedly attempting to flee from police.
Provincial police said officers were called Wednesday evening by the Canada Border Services Agency after a vehicle fled across the border.
Police said officers attempted to pull over the vehicle but it didn't stop.
The vehicle was stopped a short time later and a suspect was arrested.
Police said the accused, from Rochester, Minn., is charged with dangerous operation, flight from a peace officer, failure to stop for police, stunt driving, speeding at 50 kilometres per hour or more over the posted limit, driving without proper headlights, and failure to properly wear a seat belt.
The accused was held in custody and was scheduled to appear in a Fort Frances court on Thursday.
