VERMILION BAY — A number of charges have been laid against a Vermilion Bay man.
Provincial police attended a call with the North West Emergency Response Team at a home on Friday morning around 10 a.m.
One individual was located with injuries and was treated by EMS, who were also on the scene and were taken to the hospital for further assessment. The victim was later released from the hospital.
A 59-year-old man from Vermilion Bay was charged with five offences, including pointing and careless use of a firearm and discharge with intent of the previously mentioned weapon.
The weapon was seized by OPP as evidence.
After being remanded into custody at the Kenora District Jail, the accused has a bail court date later this week.
