RAINY RIVER – An individual faces a stunt driving charge after police caught the driver doing burnouts at an intersection.

While out on patrol, Rainy River OPP crossed paths with a 31-year-old driver spinning his vehicle's rear tires to create excessive smoke and noise at an intersection.

Officers observed the driver release the brakes and swerve through the intersection.

As a result, police initiated a traffic stop and charged the driver with performing a stunt, as well as driving while under suspension.

The driver received an immediate 30-day Administrative Drivers Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a 14-Day vehicle impoundment.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the court at a later date.
