Careless driving charge laid after OPP cruiser gets struck

KENORA — A 63-year-old from Alberta was charged with careless driving after colliding with a police cruiser.

Provincial police said the incident happened on Lakeview Drive in Kenora just after 12:30 a.m. Thursday.

Police said the driver fell asleep and collided with a vehicle while officers were conducting radar enforcement.

No injuries were reported, police added.
