WABIGOON -- Highway 17 near Wabigoon has reopened in both directions.
According to Ontario 511, a crash occurred just before 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday at Muskiemerk Road in Zealand Township, the incident forcing the closure of the highway.
A police spokesperson later said an occupant of a passenger vehicle was alert and awake, but trapped in their vehicle, and a commercial motor vehicle was blocking the westbound lane of the highway, leading to its closure.
