Commercial vehicle flips due to Ontario storm

Driver sustains minor, non-life threatening injuries following a collision on Sunday.

KENORA - A commercial vehicle lost control in a major snowstorm in the region last week and flipped over into a ditch.

Kenora Ontario Provincial Police received a call about a motor vehicle collision on Sunday, April 17 around 7 a.m. on Highway 17A at mile marker 66.

Police say the driver lost control, and the vehicle flipped over into a ditch. Diesel was leaking from the tractor trailer.

Both EMS and Fire attended the scene. The driver sustained minor, non-life-threatening injuries.

No charges were laid as weather conditions (melting snow, slippery roads) appeared to be the primary causal factor of the collision.
