Conservation officers investigating shooting of moose near Red Lake

RED LAKE — Provincial conservation officers are looking into the killing of a moose south of Red Lake earlier this week

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry said conservation officers were alerted of a moose that was shot on the east side of Highway 105 in the area of Snowshoe Dam on Wednesday.

Conservation officers believe the moose was shot and retrieved between 6 a.m. and 9:30 a.m.

The ministry said it is looking to identify and speak with those who are responsible.
