Driver arrested after property damage

Rainy River OPP arrested and charged one individual with impaired following a collision in Fort Frances.

FORT FRANCES – In the early morning, officers and emergency services responded to a motor vehicle collision at Scott Street and Agamiing Drive intersection.

Once on scene, officers noticed someone had collided with surrounding property.

OPP say the driver was impaired by alcohol with a blood alcohol level of 80 plus.

EMS transported the accused to a local hospital for further medical assessment.

The 30-year-old from Couchiching First Nation was arrested and charged with impaired driving.

The individual has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the court on February 5.
