DRYDEN, ON — A new high has been established for speed among the recent spate of stunt drivers charged by police in Northwestern Ontario.
OPP tracked a vehicle travelling at 167 kilometres an hour on Monday in the Dryden area.
In a social media post, they said the motorist was caught during a traffic enforcement operation at Oxdrift.
He told officers he was travelling from Alberta to Toronto with his family in the vehicle.
The man was charged with stunt driving, had his licence suspended for 30 days, and saw his vehicle sent to a storage compound for 14 days.
"There's no excuse for travelling at these speeds," OPP said in their post.
