Driver served with impaired after collision

Rainy River OPP has arrested and charged one individual with impaired operation following a motor vehicle collision.

FORT FRANCES – Rainy River OPP arrested a driver who they believe was impaired by alcohol after someone collided with a parked vehicle in the 300 block of First Street East.

The driver was transported to Riverside Health Care by Rainy River District Emergency Medical Services (EMS) to be examined for minor injuries.

As a result, the 24-year-old from Fort Frances was charged with impaired driving with a blood alcohol concentrate of 80 plus.

The accused has been released from custody and will appear before the court on January 29.
