DRYDEN — Ontario Provincial Police have released details of a disturbing incident in the Dryden area.

In a message posted Wednesday, OPP said a motorist who failed a blood alcohol test had been driving with a young child in the vehicle.

"Choosing to get behind the wheel after you have been drinking is never a good idea, however bringing your 6 year old along for the ride is just unacceptable," police said.

An officer initially stopped the vehicle after observing the driver using a cell phone.

The person then tested over the limit on a breathalzyer.

In addition to facing multiple charges for criminal and provincial offences, the individual lost driving privileges for 90 days and the use of the vehicle for seven days.
