FORT FRANCES – Both Debbie Ewald and Andrew Hallikas will serve four more years as members of the District of Rainy River Services Board (DRRSB).
Ewald first took the role of chair in 2019, while Hallikas started as vice-chair in 2020.
“I am honoured to have been re-elected as chair of the District of Rainy River Services Board. This vote of confidence from my colleagues inspires me to continue working diligently to address the needs of our community and to ensure the delivery of high-quality services to our residents," Ewald said.
“I am very pleased to be able to return as vice-chair and I thank the members for their support. Together with Debbie and the entire board, I look forward to building on the progress we've made and finding innovative solutions to meet the evolving needs of our community," Hallikas said.
The DRRSB has 13 members on its board of directors, 10 are appointed by municipal councils and three are selected by the Territory Without Municipal Organization from across the Rainy River district.
The DRRSB provides social services such as early learning and child care, Ontario Works, community housing, and paramedic services affordably and sustainably.
