Traffic stop on Duke Street leads to drug arrests

DRYDEN — A traffic stop has led to three people being arrested and the seizure of suspected drugs.

Provincial police said officers in Dryden stopped a vehicle on Duke Street on Monday.

The resulting investigation led to the seizure of quantities of suspected fentanyl, methamphetamine and cocaine.

Three people from Ignace — a 44-year-old, a 30-year-old, and a 29-year-old — were charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000.

All three have been remanded into custody and were scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday.
