Drug bust results in two arrests

After executing a search warrant in Dryden, OPP and the Treaty Three Police Service arrested two people on drug trafficking charges.

DRYDEN —Two people face charges as a result of a drug trafficking investigation.

Provincial police and the Treaty Three Police Service executed a search warrant at a residence on Rourke Avenue in Dryden on Wednesday.

During their investigation, officers found a quantity of cocaine, oxycodone, Canadian currency and items associated with drug trafficking.

As a result, a 20-year-old from Burnaby, B.C., and a 33-year-old from Dryden were arrested and charged with drug trafficking and property obtained by crime under $5,000.

The accused parties are being held in custody and scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice later today.
