DRYDEN — The masking requirement at Dryden's hospital has been partially lifted.

The Dryden Regional Health Centre and Dryden Area Family Health Team announced that effective Thursday, face masks will no longer be required, except in the emergency department and waiting rooms.

In a news release, the health centre said that after consulting with infection control experts, the decision was made to change their masking policy to better reflect the comfort levels of staff and community members.

Although staff and physicians are not required to wear a mask, they can still choose to wear one.

Patients and visitors are still required to screen using the self-kiosks as they enter the building. The heatlh centre says patients must wear a face mask if they fail their screening. Visitors will not be permitted into the facility if they fail the screening.
