Dryden raids lead to drug charges against three individuals

Suspected fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamine and oxycodone along with a prohibited weapon and more than $10,000 in cash were seized during the Feb. 26 raid.

DRYDEN – Three people have been arrested and charged with drug crimes after an investigation into trafficking in Dryden.

Ontario Provincial Police on Thursday announced a search warrant was executed on Feb. 26 at an Arthur Street residence, where the seized suspected fentanyl, cocaine, crack cocaine, methamphetamine and oxycodone, along with a prohibited firearm and more than $10,000 in Canadian currency.

A 40-year-old female and a 33-year-old male from Dryden and an 18-year-old from York, have been charged with:

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - fentanyl
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - cocaine
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - methamphetamine
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - oxycodone      
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5000
  • Possession of loaded prohibited or restricted firearm
  • Knowledge of unauthorized possession of firearm
  • Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm
  • Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose

All three accused were remanded into custody and will appear in court again on March 3.
