SATTERLY TOWNSHIP – According to OPP Northwest Region, on the evening of June 26 officers with the Dryden OPP Detachment and Emergency Medical Services, and firefighters responded to a collision on Highway 17 involving a commercial motor vehicle and a sport utility vehicle.
One individual in the SUV was pronounced deceased at the scene. A post-mortem examination will be conducted at the Centre of Forensic Sciences to determine the identity of the deceased.
The occupants of the commercial motor vehicle sustained minor injuries as a result of the collision.
The OPP North West Region Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement Team and OPP Collision Re-Constructionists are assisting in the investigation as it remains ongoing.
