FORT FRANCES – The COVID-19 outbreak at La Verendrye General Hospital is official over.
Riverside Health Care, which operates the hospital, said Thursday in a news release that the outbreak on the hospital’s first floor is over as of Dec. 21. The outbreak had been declared two weeks earlier.
Safety procedures and infection prevention control practices continue to be followed at the hospital, Riverside’s news release stated.
Visitors are urged to conduct a self-screening before entering the hospital. Individuals experiencing a fever, cough or other flu-like symptoms are stay home unless they are seeking care.
Masks continue to be available at all Riverside-operated facilities.
