Four arrested on drug charges in Fort Frances

FORT FRANCES — The search of a home resulted in four people being arrested and the seizure of drugs and other items associated with drug trafficking.

Provincial police executed a search warrant at a home on Third Street East in Fort Frances on Wednesday, which led to the seizure of suspected cocaine and oxycodone.

Police also seized cash and other items associated with drug trafficking.

A 36-year-old from Fort Frances, along with a 33-year-old from Whitby, Ont., a 35-year-old from Scarborough, and a 35-year-old from Couchiching First Nation, are all charged with two counts of drug possession for the purpose of trafficking and one count of possession of proceeds obtained by crime under $5,000.

They are all expected to appear in a Fort Frances court on Thursday.
