DRYDEN — After a lengthy investigation, a 54-year-old from Dryden has been arrested and charged with multiple offences.
In August, OPP received a call for service concerning harassing behaviour by the individual. Police immediately initiated an investigation into the incident.
As a result of the investigation, on Monday, police located the individual and attempted their arrest.
According to the release, the 54-year-old resisted arrest and assaulted the officer. After a short struggle, the individual was placed under arrest.
The individual was charged with criminal harassment, defamation known to be false, assaulting a peace officer, resisting arrest and mischief under $5,000.
The accused has been held in custody and will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice Kenora on Thursday.
