DRYDEN -- OPP in the Dryden and Ignace area laid hundreds of traffic-related charges during the Thanksgiving long weekend.
More than 200 Highway Traffic Act charges were laid in addition to 175 speeding charges.
One impaired driving charge was also laid as well as one distracted driving charge and two stunt driving charges.
A total of 399 charges were laid during the long-weekend campaign and 77 warnings were issued.
The OPP says its committed to its Provincial Traffic Safety Strategy, which is focused on reducing and preventing injuries and fatalities as it enhances safety on roads, waterways and trails.
