FORT FRANCES — An influenza A outbreak declared earlier this month at La Verendrye General Hospital is now over.
Riverside Health Care, in conjunction with the Northwestern Public Health Unit, declared an end to the outbreak affecting both the hospital's in-patient units Sunday.
Restrictions are no longer in place but everyone is reminded that the hospital remains a mask-friendly facility. Visitors are encouraged to be diligent in preventing the spread of infection. Individuals experiencing symptoms of illness as asked to refrain from visiting.
