Kenora OPP make multiple arrests in drug trafficking case

Six individuals have been arrested and charged following a search warrant execution in Kenora.

KENORA – According to the Kenora OPP, officers searched a home on Minto Avenue at approximately 11:30 p.m. on Feb. 16. 

Inside the home, officers found suspected fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamine, and hydromorphone. Canadian currency, edged weapons, and other items associated with drug trafficking were also seized. The estimated street value of illicit substances seized is approximately $14,600.

As a result, six individuals have been arrested and charged with multiple offences.

A 35-year-old from Kenora has been charged with two counts of possession of a dangerous weapon, trafficking cocaine and methamphetamine, two counts of trafficking opioids, and possession of proceeds obtained by crime under $5,000.

A 45-year-old from Rat Portage First Nation has been charged with possession of a dangerous weapon, trafficking cocaine, methamphetamine, and opioids, and two counts of failure to comply with a release order.

 A 27-year-old from Kenora has been charged with possession of a dangerous weapon, carrying a concealed weapon, and trafficking cocaine and methamphetamine.

A 27-year-old from Kenora has been charged with trafficking cocaine, methamphetamine, and opioids.

A 20-year-old from Rat Portage First Nation has been charged with trafficking cocaine and methamphetamine.

A 25-year-old from Kenora has been charged with trafficking methamphetamine and opioids.

All accused are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Kenora at a later date.
