KENORA – A Kenora woman has been charged for an alleged assault following an altercation.

Ontario Provincial Police, in a news release issued on Friday, said on Feb. 6, at about 6:15 p.m., officers were called to an incident on South Matheson Street in Kenora.

After speaking to several individuals, police determined a female had assaulted an individual on the property, then proceeded to enter the person’s vehicle in the parking lot.

A 20-year-old Kenora woman was charged with assault and was further trespassed from the property.

The accused was remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice at a later date.

It is Newswatch policy not to name suspects in cases in which it is unlikely we will follow it through to its conclusion in court.
