KENORA — Kenora's Main Street Christmas tree is coming to town this week.
City officials said the tree is expected to be transported to Main Street on Tuesday, and cautioned motorists to expect some traffic delays.
Those delays will occur from Shauna Crescent to the downtown core, by way of Valley Drive, Airport Road, Railway Street, and Second Street, as the tree is escorted to Main Street.
Once the tree arrives, Main Street South will be closed between Second and Third streets as Synergy North and city crews set it up.
The annual tree lighting is set for Friday, which is being presented by Harbourtown Biz and Tourism Kenora, beginning at 5:30 p.m.
