NORTHWESTERN ONTARIO — Provincial police were active in the community and with calls for service in Northwestern Ontario.

Between March 17 and 23, officers with the OPP detachments in Dryden, Kenora, Sioux Lookout, and Red Lake responded to 1,280 total occurrences.

Dryden and Kenora police issued 39 and 35 eTicket's respectively, Red Lake officers responded to 38 instances of unwanted persons.

Officers in Sioux Lookout dealt with 48 calls for service surrounding the Liquor Licence Control Act.

The OPP is reminding the public about its online reporting system, which can be used as an alternative to having an officer attend a scene for a minor incident.

Citizen Self Reporting (CSR) was rolled out across the province in 2014, and it is an efficient system for reporting certain minor incidents and crimes.
