Leave pets at home instead of in a hot vehicle: Ontario Fire Marshall

The post reminded owners to protect their pets this summer.

ONTARIO — The Ontario Office of the Fire Marshall is reminding pet owners to never leave their furry friend in a vehicle during hot weather.

“Even with windows open, car temperatures can soar, risking illness or death,” said a Facebook post.

“If your pet can't join you when you leave the car, leave them at home where they're safe and cool."

The post reminded owners to protect their pets this summer.
