Man arrested twice over the weekend in Sioux Lookout

OPP arrested the same person twice on multiple charges in the Municipality of Sioux Lookout.

SIOUX LOOKOUT – On Friday, Dec. 15, Sioux Lookout OPP attended a call for service regarding a suspicious person around Park Street and Fair Street.

Arriving on the scene, officers found a 40-year-old man from King Fisher First Nation had entered multiple residences and assaulted one individual.

The man was arrested and charged promptly.

He was held in custody for a bail hearing on December 16 and released.

On Dec. 17, the 40-year-old was spotted by police to be breaching the conditions of his release order. As a result, he was arrested and charged with failure to comply with the undertaking and failure to comply with the release order.

He was held in custody for a bail hearing on Dec. 18 and released with a court date of Jan. 16, 2024.
