DRYDEN — Provincial police say a suspect wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant attempted to pedal his way away.
OPP officers in Dryden saw an individual with an outstanding warrant on Government Street in Dryden just after 12:30 a.m. Wednesday.
The officers placed the accused under arrest on the strength of a warrant, but the individual fled the scene on their bicycle.
OPP found the individual a short time later and then proceeded to make the arrest.
As a result, the 34-year-old from Dryden was charged with failure to comply with the release order, resisting arrest, possession of stolen property under $5,000, and three counts of failure to comply with the probation order.
The accused remains in custody and is expected to appear in court on Wednesday.
