NAPS board suspends Chief Roland Morrison for alleged misconduct

Deputy Chief Brad Duce will step in as acting chief until an interim chief has been appointed.

THUNDER BAY - An independent investigation has been launched by the board of directors of the Nishnawbe Aski Police Service after alleged misconduct by police Chief Roland Morrison.

According to the NAPS board, Morrison was put on immediate suspension with pay, pending the outcome of the investigation.

Deputy Chief Brad Duce will step in as acting chief until an interim chief has been appointed. 

A news release from the NAPS board said Duce has had a longstanding and respected career with the service.
