DRYDEN — Dryden dog park committee is celebrating the future location of the new dog park.
Over the weekend, the committee hosted the Dryden Dog Park Market, with the support of a huge group of community organization and businesses.
The event was held June 12, at Dryden Rotary Park from 11 a.m.to 3 p.m.
The Dryden Dog Park Committee was formed to raise funds and move forward with the development of a dog park in Dryden. The committee comprises dedicated volunteers who recognized the need and have worked hard to attain the support from their community to make the new dog park a reality for the City of Dryden in the near future.
Community groups and individuals who gave their support included:
- The Dryden Kinsmen for assisting with the BBQ
- The Dryden Kinettes for their monetary donation
- Domtar for their monetary donation, tent and employees who volunteered
- The Pet Store for their monetary donation, donation of treats for the raffle, participation at the market and live music from Michelle Carter
- Boreal Signs for creating a banner for the future home of our community dog park
- All of the lovely local businesses and organizations who came together to make the market an overall success and support our vision
- Frito Lays, Extra Foods, The Goal Post and Dingwall Ford for their contribution towards food, drinks and chips
- Knotty Hound for their donation of the beautiful leash holders.
The hard work of all the volunteers and of the Dryden Dog Park committee made the dog park market and barbecue event a huge success.
