SIOUX LOOKOUT — A 27-year-old from Cat Lake First Nation faces multiple charges after being found with a firearm.
Provincial police said officers in Sioux Lookout found a wanted individual in the area of Fifth Avenue on Oct. 13 and stopped him for questioning.
Police determined individual was carrying a loaded unauthorized concealed weapon.
The suspect was placed under arrest and charged with numerous offences including possession of a weapon, carrying a concealed weapon, unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm, carelessness, knowledge of possessing an unauthorized firearm, and failure to comply.
The accused is being held in custody and is scheduled to appear in a Sioux Lookout court on Tuesday.
