FORT FRANCES — A 29-year-old faces several charges after a search warrant led to the seizure of drugs with an estimated street value of $35,000.
Provincial police said the warrant was executed at a home on the 400 block of Nelson Street in Fort Frances on Tuesday morning.
Police seized suspected fentanyl and hydromorphone, along with items associated with drug trafficking. One person was arrested.
The accused is charged with five counts of drug possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, unauthorized possession of a weapon, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, and two counts of failure to comply with a probation order.
The accused remains in custody and is scheduled to have a bail hearing in a Fort Frances courtroom on Friday.
