DRYDEN — Ontario Provincial Police have laid assault charges they say are related to a domestic violence incident.
According to a media release issued Thursday afternoon, Dryden OPP said they were called on March 15 around 12:30 a.m. to a home in the community.
After investigating, police said they charged a 52-year-old with spousal assault and spousal assault causing bodily harm through strangulation. Police said they are not releasing names to protect the identity of the victim.
The accused has been released from custody, police said, and is scheduled to appear in court in Dryden on April 14.
