OPP asking for help in Sioux Lookout weapons incident

SIOUX LOOKOUT – Officers with the Ontario Provincial Police are investigating a weapons incident in Sioux Lookout.

On Friday afternoon, members of the Sioux Lookout OPP responded to a disturbance on Millar Crescent.

“No one was injured in the incident and there is no risk to public safety at this time,” an OPP release said on Saturday.

“The OPP North West Region Crime Unit is investigating and the public can expect to see an increased police presence in the community as the investigation remains ongoing.”

The OPP is reminding the public to always be aware of their surroundings and to report suspicious activity.

Anyone with information or video footage regarding this investigation should contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or provide information anonymously by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
