FORT FRANCES — A load of suspected illicit drugs was taken off the streets during a recent drug bust.

Provincial police in Fort Frances executed a raid on Jan. 4 at a residence on Birch Road.

Investigators seized suspected fentanyl, methamphetamine, psilocybin and other offence-related property.

The drugs seized in this investigation have an estimated street value of $26,000, according to police.

Police made three arrests during the raid.

Two women, a 58 and 40-year-old, both from Fort Frances, were arrested, along with a 41-year-old male.

All three suspects are facing multiple drug-related charges.

All accused were released from police custody and will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice at a later date.

It is Newswatch policy not to name people facing criminal accusations when we are unlikely to follow the case to its conclusion in the courts.
