SIOUX LOOKOUT – Members of the Ontario Provincial Police Sioux Lookout Detachment, with support from the Sioux Lookout Crime Unit, OPP Emergency Response Team, Regional Investigative Support Team, Provincial Liaison Team and Marine Unit, are undertaking an investigation into a sudden death near the town beach in the Municipality of Sioux Lookout.
At approximately 7 a.m. on Aug. 29, officers responded to Lakeshore Drive for a report of an individual in the water.
An 18-year-old from the community of Hudson, was confirmed deceased on scene.
There are no concerns for public safety at this time, however police are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding this death.
