OPP lay domestic assault charges in Dryden

The incident happened at an address on Memorial Street in Dryden.

DRYDEN — Police in Dryden have charged one person with assault. 

OPP responded to a call for service on Nov. 4 at approximately 3:30 p.m. on Memorial Street. 

As a result of the investigation, a 40-year-old has been charged with spousal assault. 

The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Dryden at a future date.

The OPP will not release names to protect the identity of the victim. 

It is Newswatch policy not to name people facing criminal accusations when the case is unlikely to be followed to its conclusion through the courts.
