OPP lay drug charges following collision

Dryden OPP has arrested and charged one individual with possession of suspected illicit drugs following a collision on Highway 17 near McRae Road.

DRYDEN – According to Dryden OPP, officers and emergency medical services responded to a collision on Highway 17 on Feb.18 around 6 p.m.  

The OPP said the driver was transported to the local hospital and was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. 

Officers also said they found cocaine and cannabis at the scene.

As a result, a 21-year-old from Dryden has been arrested and charged with possession of an illicit drug, careless driving, and having cannabis readily available.  

The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the court on April 15.
