OPP lays assault charge in Dryden

The OPP has arrested and charged one individual with assault and uttering threats.

DRYDEN -- According to the OPP, a 62-year-old from Machin was arrested and charged with assault and uttering threats on Feb. 14 after police were notified of an incident at an apartment building on Clearwater Crescent.

Officers say their investigation led them to a motel in Vermilion Bay where they found the accused individual and placed them under arrest.

There were no serious injuries reported to police as a result.

The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the court on March 25.
