OPP looking for assistance after break and enter

Police seek public assistance after identifying an individual linked to a break-and-enter in Fort Frances.

FORT FRANCES – On Feb. 19, officers with the Rainy River Ontario Provincial Police responded to a break and enter at a residence in the 200 block of Fifth Street East.

OPP stated that an unknown male entered the residence through a basement window sometime between the hours of 12:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. and then the individual left on foot.

After viewing surveillance footage at the residence, OPP described the suspect as a male who wore a black face covering, a black jacket, and black gloves.

Several small items were removed from the property, according to the OPP.

No injuries have been reported.

Rainy River District OPP Crime Unit is actively conducting an ongoing investigation and is asking the public for assistance.
