OPP reminds the public to stay vigilant in search of Jeremy Sergerie

Sioux Lookout OPP reaffirms they are continuing their search for Jeremy Sergerie, 23, and advises the public to stay vigilant.

SIOUX LOOKOUT — The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are actively continuing their search for Jeremy Sergerie, 23, who was last seen on Friday, June 21, walking into a wooded area behind Cedar Crescent in the Municipality of Sioux Lookout, according to OPP Northwest Region.

Sergerie was reported missing after failing to return to his residence.

He is described as a First Nations male, 5'8", with a slight build and short black hair.

OPP has provided an updated list of Sergerie’s belongings and clothing he was last seen for public awareness.

Sergerie was last spotted wearing a yellow hoodie, a dark-coloured T-shirt, black pants, and brown Timberland boots.

He was carrying an assortment of items, including a green backpack, a black duffel bag, and a light brown satchel.

It was reported that the bags contained a pair of grey running shoes, a high-visibility hunter orange vest, a wooden-handled axe, a black miniature fishing rod, a five-inch-long hunting knife with a brown wooden handle and light brown leather sheath, a Makita power drill and charger, and a PlayStation 4, controller, and games.

Officers are asking if any members of the public that happen to find these items, leave them alone and contact the OPP immediately.

Police and family are concerned for Sergerie’s safety.
