OPP requesting assistance in shed fire investigation

The Rainy River OPP is asking residents in Fort Frances for information about a shed fire on March 5.

FORT FRANCES – According to the Fort Frances Fire Rescue Service and the Ontario Provincial Police, at approximately 10:53 p.m on March 5, both agencies responded to a shed fire in the 400 block of Portage Avenue and Church Street next to a vacant building (formerly Nor-West Animal Clinic).

Eleven firefighters responded to the blaze with a pumper truck and rescue truck.

Fort Frances Power Corporation, Enbridge Gas and Fort Frances Public Works were disconnecting the utilities and aiding with closing the road.

Fort Frances Fire Rescue Service stated there were no injuries reported at the structure fire.
