OPP seize a large quantity of cocaine

As a result of an investigation by the Dryden Detachment CSCU, two were arrested for drug trafficking.

DRYDEN – The Dryden Detachment Community Street Crime Unit of the Ontario Provincial Police arrested two individuals for possession for the purposes of trafficking a large quantity of illicit drugs.  

On August 8, 2023, officers with the Dryden and Kenora CSCU, and the Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau (OCEB) with the assistance of officers from Kenora OPP conducted a traffic stop of a motor vehicle on Highway 17 eastbound from Manitoba.

During the investigation, two individuals were arrested for possession for the purpose of trafficking; however, one individual had the additional charges of possession of proceeds of crime under $5,000, and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.
