SIOUX LOOKOUT — Two people have been arrested after a recent drug bust.

On Oct. 28, OPP in Sioux Lookout responded to a call for service around 4:30 p.m. at a home on Queen Street between Fifth Avenue and Sixth Avenue North.

Police report that multiple unauthorized individuals were removed from the home, and officers seized suspected cocaine and methamphetamines, drug trafficking paraphernalia, and Canadian currency.

OPP arrested a 40-year-old Lac Seul First Nation resident who is facing drug and parole violation charges. A 30-year-old Sioux Lookout resident was also arrested and is facing multiple charges.

Both of the accused have a future court date.

It is Newswatch policy not to name people facing criminal accusations when the case is unlikely to be followed to its conclusion through the courts.
