Hydro One will be conducting a pair of planned power outages in the Northwest on Sunday.
One will take place in Keewatin from 6 to 9 a.m. affecting 3,471 customers in the communities of Pellatt South East, Pellatt, Kenora Unorganized, Boys, Gundy, Shoal Lake 39 First Nation, Shoal Lake 40 First Nation, Forgie, Washagamis 38 First Nation, Ewart, Rat Portage 38B First Nations, Gidley, Umbach, and Glass.
Another takes place from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m., affecting 663 customers in Cat Lake First Nation, Ponsford, Pickle Lake, Osnaburgh First Nation, Slate Falls First Nation, and Connell.
The power outages are needed in order for crews to safely perform maintenance on equipment.
Hydro one said all affected customers have been notified of the outages.
