IGNACE, Ont. — The Ministry of Northern Development, Mines, Natural Resources and Forestry is asking for the public's help to track down the people who killed a moose and left it to rot.
The incident happened sometime between Nov. 1 and Nov. 11, 2021 north of Ignace.
The remains of a bull moose that had been shot were discovered near the Tower Road, off Highway 642 between Silver Dollar and Ignace.
Conservation officers found the carcass under a tree stump and root where it had spoiled.
The MNDMNRF says anyone with information that may help identify those responsible should call its Tips Line at 1-877-847-7667, or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS.
