SIOUX LOOKOUT — Provincial police have arrested a third individual who is believed to be connected to a weapons incident.

Officers were called to the area of Millar Crescent in Sioux Lookout after receiving reports of a weapons-related disturbance on Aug. 16. Police asked residents to avoid the neighbourhood for several hours while they dealt with the situation.

No one was injured during that incident. Two people were arrested, while a third was yet to be identified.

Police were recently called to an address on King Street to have an individual removed from the home on Sept. 6 in the evening.

A 23-year-old Brampton resident was arrested at the King Street incident by OPP.

They are facing multiple weapons-related charges, including two counts of attempt to commit murder and discharging a firearm recklessly.

The accused was remanded into custody and will next appear in front of the Ontario Court of Justice Kenora Bail Court in September.
